The following is a brief list of Frequently Asked
Questions about TERO and responses to those questions.

1. What is the purpose of TERO?
The
Omaha Tribe created the TERO commission to better
regulate the employment practices of the Tribe, as
well as for employers and contractors conducting business
on the reservation. TERO provides a number of services,
which include matching qualified applicants from the
Tribe to career opportunities on the Reservation and
investigating complaints regarding employment practices.
2. How do I know whether or not my business
needs to file an Employment Agreement with the TERO
office?
The Tribal Employment Rights Title applies to all
employers or contractors conducting business within
the Omaha Reservation, including: The Council and
all its programs, departments, and chartered entities
or enterprises; private employers and independent
contractors and subcontractors, including those performing
work for the Council, any State Government, or the
United States.
If you are conducting business as an employer or contractor
within the Omaha Reservation, you need to file an
Employment Agreement with the TERO office.
3. Where is the Omaha Reservation and where
do its boundaries extend to?
The
Omaha Reservation is located approximately 80 miles
north of Omaha, Nebraska between the Missouri River
and Sioux City. It includes the villages of Macy,
Pender, Rosalie, and Walthill. The map below showing
